After careful consideration and discussion with Kyrasil and a few other people on the server, I have reached a decision regarding suggesting this. dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/armorweight/The plugin in question is ArmorWeight, which would allow us to set specific speed penalties for wearing heavy armor. This will give players an opportunity to decide between weight and speed, allowing for varying gameplay styles as well as a bit more strategy and role playing elements. Take this for example. Why is it that many of our warriors can outrun our rogues? Why do we have some mages wearing heavier armor than some of the warrior specs? Why does no one wear leather/chain armor, when the heroes plugin was built around limiting armor choices for class diversity? So to start, I'm open to suggestions as to what said armor penalties would be, and I think I'll go ahead and give mine down here. To avoid the aggravation of someone simply walking away from you, I'd suggest we go with the following: Keep in mind these are full sets Nothing - 100% speed Leather - 90% Gold - 85% Chain - 80% Iron - 70% Diamond - 65% If you would please, leave your thoughts down below, as well as your own armor weight suggestions.

I personally think those numbers are a wee high...

ONLY! If the speed penalty is removed as soon as you remove the armor!

Instead of nerfing all armor set speeds why not just buff the hero Say for example rouges would get speed 2 and a paladin would get slow 2 (since hero classes do have armor restrictions) a ranger would get nightvision and a sorcerer could get weakness(since we are going by standards kinda) Instead of adding another mod or whatever into the server you could just give buffs or debuffs to the heroes.

Sadly, unless we program skills to apply those as passives, it is not currently possible in Heroes to my knowledge. And atop that, how would we manage our classes that are mixes of 2+ trees? Such as Shinigami, Dragonborn, Jumper, Warpist, TheReaper, Apostate, Etc? Shinigami is Archdemon and TheReaper, so a tanky skill-burst class with a low HP mobility melee-burst class? Dragonborn is all class types (except Holy and Unholy, + Dammit opal we need an Archangel Spec!) Jumper is a mage-rogue, Warpist is a stronger Jumper, TheReaper is from the Mages and the Rogues. Phoenix is a Mobility-Tank, Dryad is a fairly tanky archer with some healing. (I'm an old player who can't be bothered to make a forum account, and who's computer is screwing up every time he tries to play any kind of game on it, syrenswyrd is my username, not played since the server was Heroes of the Storms)
