Again, I never said I wanted pvp removed, youre over reacting because your upset that I don't like the direction your taking this, and essentially insulting my entire town base.
I do not support this "PvP focused" world you invision for us, nor do I want a server without PvP.
I believe we should have a more roleplay theme, where as you believe the server should prioritize PvP, player Hunting, More classes (which frankly only encourages grinding), less actual activities, and more heroes.
where as I, on the other hand invision things that give people something to do.

In actuality, I have been working on more Mythic Mobs in my spare time, as for heroes, I am trying to complete things where things are incomplete. I was wanting an Archangel spec because there's an Archdemon spec.

So what your saying is, instead of suggesting something that adds something everyone will likely be using... (movecraft, because its something discussed and we all know it wont/cant be added) if we added movecraft, people would be building ships, engaging in aerial warfare, and all around have something new and entertaining to do.
what you've been working on, is a boss, so people can pretty much kill it over and over again. (Grind)

Not just one, multiple, so that there can be actual dungeons that are entertaining to go through (Most MMOs when you're higher level) instead of just sitting in a grinder.

Why don't we just make you owner so you can uninstall heroes that way there is no need for anything but building and politics?
Edit: Sorry, just a bit ticked that PvP, one of heroes' greatest uses, isn't supposed to be a goal of a heroes server.

I've gotten to the point where I get my pvp fixation from World of Warcraft, and hop on the server to socialize.
Edit: To go into further detail, it's hard to make classes balanced when the current meta revolves around either using tricks and lucky combo's as opposed to sustained damage.
Try killing a dragonborn without any sort of chain CC and high burst damage. Anyone knows that you can simply blink away from high damage, or use void when your health is low so you can heal up in complete peace.
Dragonslayer and Dragoon are pretty bad, but they can kill any class fairly quickly through the gimmick of inversion, which doesn't make a lot of sense. The classes were designed around sustained anti-caster and anti-archer pressure, and a bit of CC. However, they can hardly put out any pressure outside of inversion, and the stuns are only a minor annoyance, especially to those classes with massive low-mana cost blinks.

I agree with you Zec, however, I think that with some edits to the heroes we have, the server could easily be the best skill based PvP server out there. Not based on luck or cheapness, but based on knowing your class.

I agree, I want PVP to remain in the server, and I want it to somewhat go back the way it was.
However, I also think the server needs more to do than kill people, and grind mobs. so without any bias, what do you do on the server when you aren't pvping, or mining?

When I'm on the server and doing neither of the above, I'm socializing, engaging in the joke war between us, as I am the anti-politician and you are, well, king of politicians. OR! Building! OMG I know that's so hard to believe but I actually build! I am working singleplayer on a dungeon so I have the schematics worked out so I can build it on the server without wasting resources!

so long story short, when you aren't pvping, or grinding, your building. is there nothing else you can find to do? maybe that's because people like you only want to progress the server towards pvp, and heroes based ideas, instead of adding things for people to do.
I will be creating 3 more lists of plugin suggestions by the end of the month\. the first list will feature plugins that have nothing to do with PVP. the second, things will small changes/improves to PVP. the last focuses mostly on PVP.

Alright mother fuckers, quit arguing. I could go on and on for hours about all the things that should be changed about the server, but I won't. Instead, I will condense everything I want to say into some small paragraphs.
PvE-
The PvE element to this server is almost nonexistent (unless Mythic Mobs have been added without my knowledge). The only PvE that exists is using Breeder to multiply mobs in a pit and then using AoE's to kill them. 'Nuff said.
PvP-
Oh God PvP is garbage. The only way you win is by abusing the fuck out of RPGitems, or stun-locking someone into the ground while you fuck their skull with your Dragon's Bane. If you're not doing that, you're blinking away when you get below 50% Hp, regen-ing, and blinking back in to the fight. It's just in general not fun.
Roleplay-
I don't even really have to say anything about this. We don't even have basic plugins that would allow for good RP anyway, such as a plugin to rename a weapon using a custom weapon and give it lore, or Gods, to RP a religion or something along those lines. Honestly, half the people on the server don't know what RP is anyway.
I think I've "ranted" enough. If someone would like, I can go into more detail about any of these topics, all I request is that you ask.

I couldn't agree more spell. so, what we need to figure out, is where we want the server to go, and start making suggestions, things of that nature, talking to opal about it.
Things will only get worse if we don't actually try to fix them.

He JUST said he's been working in SP on a dungeon that people can run through on the server for fun. A PUBLIC dungeon, made for ANYONE to run, for FUN. Quite selfless, also a good idea, and it's something that's working on being added FOR PEOPLE TO DO. And it's not even based on Heroes. Jesus Christ man, take the time to comprehend what people are telling you before saying ignorant shit like that. Maybe you should work less on those suggested plugin lists of yours and actually pay attention to something on the server, so you actually know what the fuck you're talking about. God damn, you piss me off sometimes.

Really, the only thing that that adds, is a place for people to go and kill mobs. what do you think grinding is? people killing mobs, we have enough of that on the server already. whats new about killing a mob? we have enderdragon bosses, their being grinded (by siren as well might I add). what makes you think these mobs in the dungeon wont be grinded. so tell me honestly, if you found a way to easily kill them, would you grind the dungeon? [Edit} you also complained about people using RPG items and OP gear to pvp unfairly, so what is the incentive to go to this dungeon? good gear? items? experience (IE Grinding)? |
